Ava Laroche is a multi-hyphenated theatre artist. She is a 2025 Theatre Arts BFA Boston University graduate. At BU she completed acting, playwriting, and theatrical directing tracks. She has also completed a minor in Film and Television with the College of Communication, concentrating on screenwriting, dramatic television writing, and sitcom writing.

During her time at Boston University, she was involved as an actor in seven productions, ranging from comedies to period pieces. She was a collaborator on the Director's Project where she directed, acted, composed, and accompanied the ten-minute play festival. She has also completed two apprenticeships as an assistant director of OTP by Elise Wein at Boston Playwrights Theatre, and as an associate director on the original work ONE PENNY DOWN by Kirsten Greenidge at Boston University. She made her directorial debut with Leslye Headland's BACHELORETTE at Boston University in March of 2025.

 

She is also a playwright, and enthusiastic developer of new works. Her play, MANSPREAD has received two staged readings, and multi-week workshops at Boston University. Her two other works in development include HEART and OKAY, NOW YOU. In her time with the College of Communication, she has written spec scripts for Netflix's Wednesday, and Max's Sex Lives of College Girls. She has also written two pilots, DADDIES, and SAINTS. 

 

In her free time, she writes, composes, and produces music out of her own bedroom. Her debut album titled "The Revenant" was released in May of 2024 which was ten tracks entirely written and produced by herself. She has released two music videos for her songs "If I Knew The End" and "Bad Driver."
