ABOUT AVA

Ava Laroche is a multi-hyphenated theatre artist. She is a 2025 Theatre Arts BFA, Boston University, graduate. At BU she completed acting, playwriting, and theatrical directing tracks. She has also completed a minor in Film and Television with the College of Communication, concentrating on screenwriting, dramatic television writing, and sitcom writing.

Ava refuses to be put in a box, and instead throws herself into any creative project that comes her way. She has directed and assistant directed productions at Boston University including her thesis production of BACHELORETTE by Leslye Headland. She had the privilege of being selected for two staged readings of her play, MANSPREAD. In 2024, she wrote and produced her first album, The Revenant, as well as producing two music videos with the album. She’s also an emerging stand-up comic who studies with Second City in Chicago. She is continually inspired by women like Mindy Kaling, Quinta Brunson, and Tina Fey who find ways to do it all, and also do it all really, really well.

In addition to her creative experiences, Ava is dedicated to helping and uplifting other artists in their careers. She has worked at talent agencies such as DDO Artists, Maggie Inc, and is currently an assistant in the Voiceover department at ACM Talent. Additionally, she fell in love with the casting side of the industry during her time with Boston Casting.

At her core, Ava is an artist who strives to find the colors in a black and white world, and seeks humanitarian truths no matter how emotional or difficult. She is a fierce advocate for new work, and loves diving into the text of emerging playwrights. Her stories are always women- and LGBT+-centered as she believes art inspires action. She has been a part of social justice-based theatre such as THE TEREZIN PROJECT, and hopes to change the way people think about the world when they visit the theatre. The theatre is one of the oldest and most sacred ways where community happens before our very eyes, and is the closest thing to magic that the world can offer.
